DVD: "Equilibrium" - A futuristic action film with innovative fight scenes

Equilibrium takes place in a future where all forms of feeling are outlawed and a man (Christian Bale) in charge of enforcing the law rises to overthrow the system. Very unique and stylistic fight scenes, complimented within an interesting storyline, make this a must-see film.

DVD: "Circus" - A clever con man story with great twists and wit

Circus is a very entertaining, fast paced film about a con man, his collaborators, his targets, and his schemes. Nothing is quite what it seems and the combination of twists and humor results in a fun ride.

DVD: "Freeway" - Reese Witherspoon Stars in a Modern Day Version of Little Red Riding Hood

Let me start out by saying that Freeway is not for everyone ! However, if you have an off-center sense of humor for the somewhat "bizarre", then you'll love this film with Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland. It is a modern day version of Little Red Riding Hood with some twisted scenes and wild storyline.

DVD: "Once Upon A Time In China 1 & 2" - The Real Jet Li

Aside from Jet Li's great appearance in Lethal Weapon 4, all his Hollywood films have been either mediocre at best or just plain awful. However, if you want to see what made Jet Li an international martial arts superstar, then you've got to see Once Upon A Time In China 1 and Once Upon A Time In China Part 2.

DVD: "The Score" - An Intriguing Thriller

Robert Dinero and Ed Norton star in The Score, a thriller about a master thief and his wanna-be protege. It's not a high-octane movie but rather a methodical storyline that has several clever twists and turns.

DVD: "What Planet Are You From ?" - A Comedy From Out of this World

OK, I'm 99.9% sure that you've never heard of  What Planet Are You From ?. But if you're willing to take a chance, I'm quite confident that you'll get some good hearty laughs as you watch Gary Shandling and Anette Benning in this entertaining comedy about a goof-ball alien's adventures on planet Earth.

DVD: "Bowfinger" - Steve Martin + Eddie Murphy = a Classic

If you want to watch a very witty comedy that provides an insider's view on the craziness that a producer needs to go through to produce a Hollywood movie, then Bowfinger is the movie for you.

DVD: "The Big Hit" - Great Action Mixed with Lots of Laughs

The Big Hit is an amazing Hong Kong-style action film about a bunch of hitmen who behave like a dysfunctional family. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Christina Applegate, it's a roller-coast ride where you're engrossed in the rapid gunfire one second, and rolling on the ground laughing the next.

DVD: "Femme Fatale" - Don't Let the Silly Title Fool You

When Femme Fatale came out in theatres, I ignored it just like everyone else. I rented the DVD one evening when the rental store was devoid of anything good, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this wonderful thriller which was directed by Brian De Palma.
